Procedure:
To perform Whole Body Bone Scan, 20-25 mCi Tc99m-MDP will be IV injected.
The scanning can be perform in several method. To assess vascularity of the lesion Triple Phase (Three Phasic) Bone Scan can be done otherwise the Static images (Delay Phase) is enough.
Thriple Phase bone scan is taken immediately after IV injection of tracer (angiographic phase), 5 minute later(Blood Pool Phase ) 2 - 4 Hour later (static Phase).
The static images is the most common method for Whole Body Bone Scan. This images is obtain 2- 4 hour after IV injection of tracer.
In order of a better image quallity, we encourage the patients use water, tea, fruit jouice and etc after radiotracer injection

Indications:
1- Bone metastasis Diagnosis.
2- Bone Pain with Normal Radiography.
3- Bone infection (Dx of Osteomyelitis and Cellulitis.
4- Bone Trauma and diagnosis of Occult Fx, Stress Fx and etc.
5- Fracture Complication(Non union, Delayed Union , infection and RSDS)
6- Diagnosis,extend and recurrence of benign and malignat tumor( Osteogenic sarcoma, Chondrosarcoma, ewing tumor, Giant cell tumor, UBC, ABC and etc).
